The Student Media Personalities of Nigeria (SMPN) have revealed it's plan to hold the maiden edition of her annual Award tagged "SMPN AWARD NITE 2020" on Saturday, 9th of January, 2021.
The Socio-educational organization which has branches in over 13 tertiary institutions including the Polytechnic, Ibadan, University of Ibadan, Lagos State University, University of Lagos, Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) and many others made this known through a precedes made available to NAIJA METRO by its Human Resources Director, Blessing Alasa on Friday.
The Award is to feature in two categories which include the voting and Non- voting categories.
According to the Convener of the Association Mr. Anthony Dimnwaka popularly known as Devoyce, the maiden edition of the award which happens to hold in 2021 is themed "Celebrating Excellence Within". Devoyce who doubles as an On Air Personality on popular Radio, 32FM, Ibadan stress that this edition is focused to celebrate outstanding and amazing members that have registered remarkable effort towards the growth of the organization.
Categories of the award includes SMPN Award for excellence, SMPN Innovation, SMPN Creative Award, SMPN selflessness Award, SMPN Rising Star, SMPN Special Recognition Award, SMPN Welfare Award, SMPN Chapter of The Year Award, SMPN lLadership Team.
It was however noted that the award will hold in a closed Whatsapp Group by 7pm when all members would have gathered for the meritorious event.
