Oyo Lawmaker, Hon. Wale Canada, Felicitates Muslims on Ramadan, Urges Prayers for Nigeria



As Muslims across the world has embarked on the sacred month of Ramadan, a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi, popularly known as Wale Canada, has extended his heartfelt greetings to all Muslim faithful, especially those in his constituency, Saki East and Atisbo.


In a goodwill message, Hon. Wale Canada expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting Muslims the opportunity to witness yet another Ramadan fasting. He emphasized the significance of the holy month, urging believers to embrace the teachings of Ramadan, which include patience, piety, self-discipline, and charity.


He particularly called on Muslims to imbibe the spirit of giving, noting that Ramadan is a time to extend kindness to the less privileged and foster unity among communities.


Furthermore, the lawmaker encouraged citizens to use this period for fervent prayers, not only for personal spiritual growth but also for the betterment of Nigeria. He stressed the need for prayers for economic revival, a more secure environment, and prosperity for the nation.


"As we observe this sacred month, let us remember the importance of compassion, generosity, and selflessness. I urge everyone to use this time to seek divine intervention for our country’s economic stability, security, and overall development," Hon. Wale Canada stated.


He reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of his constituents and pledged continued efforts toward the growth and progress of Saki East and Atisbo.


The Ramadan fast, which is one of the five pillars of Islam, is a period of spiritual reflection, fasting, prayer, and charitable deeds observed by Muslims worldwide.


Hon. Wale Canada concluded his message by praying for a successful and peaceful Ramadan, hoping that the blessings of the holy month bring progress and unity to Nigeria.
