Talented Yoruba Nollywood actor, Muyiwa Ademola has set the record straight on his state of origin, ending years of speculation among fans who believed he hailed from Ibadan in Oyo State.
The celebrated Yoruba film star made the clarification during the Lisabi Day celebration held in Abeokuta on Saturday, March 28.
Addressing attendees in a now-viral video from the event, Ademola firmly debunked the long-standing assumption about his roots.
“I am not from Ibadan. I am from Abeokuta,” the actor stated, putting to rest the widespread misconception.
For years, many fans had associated Ademola with Ibadan due to his prominence in the Yoruba movie industry and his strong connection to the region.
However, his recent statement has clarified that his is from Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State.
Following the event, Ademola also shared a message on his Instagram page, recounting his journey from humble beginnings to success in the Nigerian film industry.
He attributed his growth and achievements to grace, noting how his life has transformed over time.
