2027: IBNE/IBSE Stakeholders Rally Behind Hon. Shakirat Adetunji ASHAD Ahead of Party Primaries

 

Support is building within the IBNE/IBSE Federal Constituency as party stakeholders intensify calls for the emergence of Adebola Shakirat Adetunji as the flag bearer for the 2027 House of Representatives election.

In a statement released by her media team, Adetunji—popularly known as ASHAD—was described as a loyal and consistent party member whose commitment has remained steadfast through both favorable and challenging periods. According to the statement, her continued involvement after the 2022 primary elections, when many others reportedly withdrew their support, has set her apart among current aspirants.

 

Party loyalists highlighted her track record of grassroots engagement, citing various community-focused initiatives attributed to her. These include empowerment programs, free medical outreach services, distribution of JAMB forms, borehole projects, installation of streetlights, and financial support schemes such as POS business empowerment.

The statement emphasized that Adetunji’s accessibility to constituents, respect for party leadership, and sustained humanitarian efforts make her a strong contender capable of uniting the party and securing electoral victory.

“As the party approaches a critical decision point, there is a growing consensus on the need to reward loyalty and consistency,” the statement read, urging party leaders and members to rally behind her candidacy.
