How To Check 2026 UTME Results [Step By Step Guide]

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has outlined the procedure for candidates to check their results in the ongoing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

This comes as the examination body commenced the release of results for candidates who participated in the exercise, beginning with those who sat for the test on Thursday.

The development was disclosed on Friday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who announced via his official X handle that the results would be made available later that night.

According to the board, candidates are expected to check their results through a simple SMS process using the phone numbers linked to their registration.

Step 1: Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 50 naira airtime on their registered number.

Step 2: To access their results, candidates are required to send either “UTME RESULT” or “UTMERESULT” in capital letters to 55019 or 66019.

Step 3: Get your JAMB score.

JAMB emphasised that the message must be sent strictly from the same phone number used during the UTME registration, warning that results will not be delivered to any other number.

The board stressed that any deviation from the registered number would make it impossible for candidates to receive their results through the SMS platform.

Meanwhile, over 2.2 million candidates are expected to participate in the 2026 UTME, which commenced nationwide this week.
