Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, well known as Sunday Igboho, has announced the launch of the Ija Ekun Security Network, which he said has the approval of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking during a public engagement, Igboho described the security outfit as a registered and operational network established to tackle insecurity, banditry, and criminal activities across the South-West region and parts of Kwara State.

He called on Yoruba sons and daughters to support the initiative and join hands in flushing out criminals hiding in forests and communities within the region.
According to him, the recent rise in attacks is politically motivated because a Yoruba man currently occupies the presidency.
“They are doing this because a Yoruba man is now the president,” Igboho stated.
Igboho also revealed that the security network reportedly consists of about 50,000 personnel aimed at combating Fulani herdsmen, bandits, and terrorists threatening the peace and security of Yoruba land.
He urged residents to cooperate with the security outfit and other security agencies in ensuring lasting peace, safety, and stability across the region.
