BBNaija Season 11 Premieres July 26 With Record N160m Grand Prize

The Big Brother Naija reality show will return for its 11th season on Sunday, July 26 with a record grand prize of N160 million for the winner.

MultiChoice announced on Wednesday that the show will air from 7pm on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family. The 24-hour live broadcast will be available on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 49, while viewers can also stream the show on DStv Stream and GOtv Stream.

The winner of Season 11 will receive a prize package worth N160 million, including N100 million in cash and a brand new SUV, making it the biggest prize in the history of the reality show. The previous season offered a ₦150 million prize package.

The new season will also see betting company betPawa join the show as headline sponsor, while Guinness returns as gold sponsor and Minimie comes on board as associate sponsor.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as host for the new season, continuing a role he has held since the reality TV show’s second edition in 2017.

Since its return in 2017, Big Brother Naija has become one of Africa’s most watched reality television shows, producing several entertainment personalities and attracting millions of viewers across the continent.

Preparations for Season 11 began in May with online registration followed by physical auditions held in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu for eligible contestants aged 21 and above.

Eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers will be able to vote for their favourite housemates through the MyDStv and MyGOtv self service apps. Subscribers who upgrade their packages will receive additional voting benefits throughout the season.
