Popular Nigerian content creator DJ Chicken has regained his freedom after spending about a week in prison.

The TikTok star was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) over controversial remarks he made about Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu.
In a video that previously went viral, DJ Chicken, dressed in traditional attire, claimed that President Tinubu would not win the next general election and described it as "just the beginning."
He also allegedly threatened to kill Seyi Tinubu if President Tinubu emerged victorious in the 2027 presidential election.
Following the viral video, DJ Chicken was arrested and later remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre after pleading not guilty to charges related to the alleged threat.
However, in a new video that surfaced online on Tuesday, the content creator was seen celebrating his release while riding in a car with his lawyers and associates.
During an Instagram Live session, DJ Chicken praised Seyi Tinubu and the Federal Government of Nigeria, expressing gratitude following his release.
He also recounted his experience in prison, describing it as a place no one should wish to be. According to him, losing his freedom made him appreciate life outside prison, adding that he could not even eat the food he desired while in custody.
DJ Chicken advised Nigerians to avoid actions that could lead to imprisonment, saying it is far better to stay at home drinking garri than to engage in activities that could result in losing one's freedom.
