The Oyo State Government has issued a fresh update on ongoing efforts to rescue the pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area, assuring residents that security agencies are working tirelessly to secure their safe release.

In a statement posted on its official X handle on Monday, the government said it remains fully committed to ensuring the victims return safely to their families.
The state also expressed solidarity with the families of the abducted pupils and teachers, acknowledging the emotional pain and uncertainty they have endured since the incident.
According to the government, it will continue to work closely with security agencies currently leading rescue operations to ensure the victims are freed and those behind the abduction are brought to justice.
