Adeleke made the clarification in a statement issued on Tuesday, following claims that the ADC had worked with political groups supporting his re-election.

The governor said his victory was secured through the support of Osun voters and what he described as divine intervention.

He thanked residents across the state for backing his administration at the polls, saying their support was responsible for his successful re-election.

The clarification came after the ADC, through its spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, claimed that the party had worked with Adeleke’s Accord Party to prevent the All Progressives Congress (APC) from winning the election.

Adeleke rejected the claim, insisting that the ADC was not part of the political coalition that supported his campaign.

According to him, the coalition behind his campaign comprised political allies and supporters who mobilised voters and worked for his victory before the election.

He said it was important to correct the record so that the role of various political actors in the election would not be wrongly attributed.

The governor, however, praised the political partners and supporters who contributed to his victory.

He acknowledged their efforts during the campaign, describing their commitment and mobilisation as important factors in the outcome of the election.

With the election concluded, Adeleke said his administration would shift its attention towards governing the entire state.

He pledged to serve residents regardless of their political affiliation, religion or ethnic background.

Adeleke also called for unity among the people of Osun, stressing that the next phase should focus on development and improving the welfare of residents.

The governor's comments are expected to put to rest speculation over the nature of the political relationships that influenced the outcome of the Osun governorship election.
