The Oyo State Government has felicitated Muslims across the state on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, wishing them a peaceful and joyous celebration.

The government, in a message posted on its official X handle on Tuesday, extended its greetings to the Muslim faithful as they mark the occasion commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
The state government said, “On this blessed occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, the Oyo State Government wishes you a peaceful and joyous celebration.”
The government also urged Muslims and other residents to use the occasion to reflect on the values of peace, compassion, love, tolerance and unity, while promoting peaceful coexistence across the state.
Eid-el-Maulud commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad and provides an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on his life, teachings and enduring values. The celebration is also marked by prayers, religious gatherings and messages emphasising peace, compassion, humility and peaceful coexistence within communities.
