Biggie announced Keivo’s disqualification on Tuesday, after showing the remaining housemates footage of the clash, which started over a black shirt.

“Keivo, as the perpetrator, has been removed from the house. He is therefore disqualified from the house,” Big Brother announced.

He also warned the housemates against violence, declaring: “Violence is never an option.”

The announcement ended hours of uncertainty over Keivo’s fate after his name disappeared from the official voting platform earlier on Tuesday.

The confrontation began on Monday night after Tram accused Keivo of taking his black shirt. Keivo denied the allegation, saying he owned a similar shirt.

The disagreement escalated as both men exchanged words before Keivo threw the first punch.

Other housemates tried to separate them, but Biggie eventually ordered everyone to freeze and sent three Ninjas into the house to intervene. Keivo was subsequently escorted out through the storeroom.

Before his removal, Keivo became emotional while explaining himself. He said the dispute was about more than the shirt and that being accused of taking something that did not belong to him had deeply upset him.

He also said he did not want to leave the show with viewers believing that he was a thief.

Keivo’s disqualification came less than a week before the grand finale scheduled for October 4.

He had secured a place in the final week alongside Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram.

Keivo had earlier emerged as Head of House in Week Nine before Barry became the final Head of House and secured a place for the remaining housemates in the finale.

With Keivo’s removal, nine housemates remain in contention for the ₦160 million prize package.

Keivo’s disqualification has since sparked debate among BBNaija viewers, with some condemning his decision to resort to violence, while others have questioned whether Tram should also face disciplinary action over the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.

The “Show Ya Sef” finale is scheduled for Sunday, October 4.
