The Founder of One Love Family and Spiritual Father of the Nation, Satguru Maharaj Ji, on Wednesday raised alarm over what he described as a plot to eliminate him and an illegal takeover of part of his land in Ibadan by suspected land grabbers.

Addressing a press conference in Ibadan, the Living Perfect Master recalled his historic proclamation of “No War In Nigeria Come What May” made on August 16, 1993, on OGTV Abeokuta, at the height of the political crisis that followed the annulment of the June 12 presidential election won by Chief M.K.O. Abiola.
Maharaj Ji said the proclamation was aimed at promoting love and peace in the country, noting that the call for unity is still relevant today as President Bola Tinubu has continued to appeal to Nigerians to remain calm and trust in his administration’s programmes to navigate current challenges.
He, however, warned of a looming danger over his community following the alleged capture of a portion of land he acquired from the Aladorin family for the establishment of a Centre for Conflict Resolution.
According to him, the parcel, designated as a No-Go Area and used strictly as an agricultural settlement, was illegally sold by land grabbers to a church led by an Ibadan-based pastor identified as Pastor David.
Maharaj Ji disclosed that he petitioned the Oyo State Government over the matter and the case was taken before the Oyo State Anti-Land Grabbing Commission, where the Aladorin family, the original owners, disproved the claims of the grabbers.
He alleged that despite the pending dispute, the land grabbers, backed by the pastor who he claimed appeared in military uniform with policemen and military personnel, invaded the settlement and assaulted his followers under the pretext that they had obtained a Certificate of Occupancy from the state government.
The matter, he said, is now before the court.
In a more grievous allegation, the spiritual leader claimed the pastor had declared himself as “the TB Joshua of Ibadan incarnate” and boasted of a mission to eliminate the Living Perfect Master.
Maharaj Ji said he received reports that the pastor displayed a video in his church detailing how he intends to kill him during a two-week crusade tagged *”Wetie Crusade”* scheduled to hold from September 17 to September 30, 2026.
As a witness to the original ‘Wetie’ crisis that engulfed Western Nigeria in 1962, Maharaj Ji expressed deep concern over the choice of theme, describing ‘Wetie’ as historically associated with political violence, arson and unrest.
He questioned the rationale behind adopting such a theme by a cleric at a time the nation is preparing for the 2027 general elections.
“As a Spiritual Father of the Nation, an Ibadan Prince and the Revealer of Light and Dispeller of Darkness, I find it worrisome that a man from Calabar would present forged documents of my land and sell it to another person in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. This shows there is an ulterior motive,” he said.
The peace advocate, who noted that he has spent over 40 years supporting motorists and the needy with food, shelter, water, fuel and other assistance, said he remains a law-abiding citizen who does not want any action capable of truncating the peace of his community and Ibadanland.
He alleged that since the illegal occupants arrived, the hitherto peaceful area has witnessed strange accidents, open use of cannabis and influx of miscreants, developments he said had been absent for over a decade.
Maharaj Ji therefore appealed to the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, security agencies, traditional leaders and the public to urgently intervene to prevent a breakdown of law and order.
He called for an urgent amendment of existing laws to classify land grabbers and their agents as terrorists, noting that their activities have continued to generate tension in southern states.
“I am appealing to the Government and the Security Agencies to pay attention to the situation and do everything within the law to ensure that there is no breakdown of law and order. What I told them was that the truth will prevail very soon,” he said.
He concluded his address with a rendition of the national anthem, praying for the continued unity of Nigeria.
“Long Live the Government of Oyo State, Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. My love and blessings,” he added.
As of press time, efforts to get the reaction of the pastor was unsuccessful.
