Recall that Adebayo released the six-part miniseries in December 2024, which earned several nominations and wins at Nollywood film awards, including the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards and Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

In an interview on VJ Adams Live, Adebayo revealed the plan while speaking about his process of producing a film, saying he watches his previous movies when preparing to make new ones.

He said he is rewatching ‘Seven Doors’ ahead of its sequel, adding that he also reads both positive and negative comments about his films to identify areas for improvement.

“I watch my movies after they’ve been released, especially when I want to produce another one. For instance, before I produced the sequel to ‘Jagun Jagun’, I watched the original, same as ‘Ageshinkole’. Now I’m planning to do a sequel to ‘Seven Doors’, so I keep watching the original to do better,” he said.

“I also go to read people’s comments, good or bad, on my movies because it helps me decide what to do better.”

In 2025, ‘Seven Doors’ won big at the AMVCA, winning the ‘Best Lead Actress’ and ‘Best Lead Actor’ categories.

At the same year at BON Awards, the film won four categories, including ‘Best Production Design’, ‘Best Special Effect’, ‘Best Series’ and ‘Best Cinematography’.
