Ondo Crash: 32 People Were Aboard Military Aircraft – Keyamo

Thirty-two people were on board the military aircraft that crashed in Ondo State on Monday, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has disclosed.

The minister said the aircraft had 25 passengers and seven crew members on board before it crashed in the Igbokoda area of the state.



The aircraft reportedly came down close to a naval base in Igbokoda while on a routine flight from Lagos to Benin City, Edo State.

The Nigerian Air Force later confirmed that the aircraft belonged to the service, stating that it was conducting a routine mission when the incident occurred.

The disclosure by Keyamo gives an official account of the number of people aboard the aircraft as emergency and security authorities continue to respond to the crash.
