As governments at every level move to relax lockdown on movement and commence business and official activities, the Non Academic Staff Union, of the Federal College of Education Special Oyo has charged her members and all workers across the Country to ensure strict compliance with preventive guidelines issue by the government and health agencies.
This was contained in a statement made available to pressmen by the Federal College of Education Special Oyo Branch of the Union.
The Chairman of the Union, Comrade Fagbemi, advised employees to prioritise their wellbeing as they go about discharging their duties.
"Civil servants and other private sector workers should remember that the times have changed and it can't be business as usual at their various posts going forward.
Extra care and caution must be taken in handling files and other office materials and social interactions at work" Fagbemi warned.
According to the statement signed by the Secretary of the Union, Comr Badmus Tolulope Adekunle, businesses and government agencies staff should embrace technology more in discharging their duties optimally. "Our Union has been employing social media platforms to interact with all stakeholders.
We inform and interact with our members via WhatsApp and we engage authorities on the plight and rights of our members via same medium."
He furthermore appreciates the General Secretary of the Union Comr. Peter Adeyemi for his relentless effort on ensuring all members demands are aggitated for at the National level.
While he encouraged the Government to always pay workers' salary promptly.
