AFYMP Begins 2 - Day Media Entrepreneurship Training For Young Journalists in Lagos

The Africa Foundation For Young Media Professionals has on Monday commences a 2 - Day media training for young journalists in the Southwest part of Nigeria.

The media organization who selected students from different schools in southwest Nigeria holds the program in a bid to raise the bar of media profession in the country and beyond.

While delivering his welcome remark at the welcome ceremony on Monday, the Executive Director of AFYMP, Mr. Yinka Olaito maintained that the program is initiated in a bid to search for game changers that will help change the narratives of media profession in Nigeria. 
He added that the funded program has four courses which are Media Entrepreneurship and Niche Building, Campus Journalism, Women in Journalism And Disabilities and Social Inclusion of which the Media Entrepreneurship holds at Hocal Suites, Nigeria Institute of Medical Research, Yaba, Lagos.

Olaito stressed that the organization is keen at developing media giants in years to come, who needs to understand the reality, form a outstanding and unique brand and channel their energetic potentials towards actualizing the change needed in the media industry.

Facilitators at the media entrepreneurship training are veteran media practitioners which includes Mr. Taiwo Obe, TVC Host and presenter of journalist hangout, Mr. Babajide Otitoju, Dr. Suraj Olunifesi, Mr. Lekan Otufodurin, Mrs. Amaka Okoye, and Mrs. Abimbola Bello. 
Participants at the programme are the Managing Publisher of Naija Metro News, Kehinde Ayanboade from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Peace Oladipo of Federal University of Oye Ekiti, Tijani AbdulKabeer from University of Ibadan, Faith Omoniyi of Federal University of Oye Ekiti, Philip Anjorin of Adekunle Ajasin University, Oguntusin Ilemobayo of Elizade University, Faith Alofe of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ojo Faith of University of Lagos, Precious Akintulubo and Rahma Jimoh of Olabisi Onabanjo University, AbdulRasheed Ahmad of Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto, Lois Chima and Bakare Eniola of Babcock University.
