Ibadan Poly calls off mid-semester break Dec. 18, to hold SUG election soon



Students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan has been enjoined to resume to school from the ongoing mid-semester break on Monday 18th of December, 2023.


The institution management who made this known in a statement signed by the registrar, Mrs. Modupe Theresa Fawale and made available to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer, Alh. Soladoye Adewole noted that the institition’s computer based test (CBT) will commence immediately. 


The citadel of technological innovation also enjoin students to pay up their fees as this Will serve as criteria to be eligible in the forthcoming Student Union Government election in the school. 


The news release reads;


“Students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan are to resume on Monday 18th December, 2023 from their midterm break.


“A statement issued by the Registrar of the Institution Mrs Modupe Theresa Fawale and signed on her behalf by the Public Relations Officer, Mr Soladoye Adewole disclosed that the students will on the same day commence their mid-semester Computer Based Test (CBT) which will run for one week.


“The Management further stated that payment of tuition and production of receipts are prerequisites for the CBT test. 


“The Management assured the students that their Students Union election will be held soon after a meeting with the all faculty and departmental Presidents as well as aspirants where the all the modus operandi for the election will be sorted out.


“Presidents of students associations and all student union executive aspirants must also submit an attestation of good conduct/ behaviour from the Federal High Court. Equally students will be eligible to vote after due payment of tuition fees for first semester 2023/2024 Academic Session.


“Access to election portal will be through the code that will be generated for eligible voters only.”
