Inspiring Walimat-ul-Quran Ceremony Lights Up Al-Qalam Schools Ibadan

Al-Qalam Schools Ibadan celebrated a significant milestone yesterday with its Annual Walimat-ul-Quran Ceremony, a vibrant event themed "Everything Quran" that illuminated the achievements of its students and the school's dedication to Islamic teachings.

The ceremony, which marks the completion of a Certificate Course in Quran Reading, brought together parents, teachers, and community leaders in a joyous and spiritually uplifting gathering.

The event that took at the School's Premises on B Zone, Olonde Estate, Ologuneru Area, Eleyele Eruwa Road Ibadan- Oyo State, Nigeria opened with a recitation of the Glorious Quran by one of the students, showcasing their impressive fluency. 

The Management Representative, Mr. AbdRahman Hashim, delivered an impassioned address, highlighting the importance of Quranic education in nurturing ethical values and spiritual growth among Muslim youths.

"We are immensely proud of our pupils' perseverance and dedication. Their path to acquiring Quran reading skills was very challenging for them and their parents, but as Muslims, we have been guided by the sayings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that: 'The one who is skilled in reciting Qur'an will be with the noble, honourable scribes and the one who recites Qur'an and falters therein, and finds it difficult, will have a double reward' - Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim. We therefore thank ALLAH Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for this monumental step in their spiritual journey, and we are committed to nurturing them in their continued pursuit of knowledge and piety," declared the Director of Academics, Hajia Rukayat Abimbola Otun.

The ceremony was chaired by Alhaji Prince Gboyega Ibrahim Aderolu, the CEO of Erelu Ayoka Farms Limited, and was graced by other eminent personalities. The occasion featured a heartfelt lecture titled "Internalising the Book of Life" by the Distinguished Guest Speaker, Shaykh Rahim FadlurRahman Taiwo, a revered Islamic scholar. In his words, he commended the school's efforts and encouraged students to embody the teachings of the Quran in their everyday lives.

Parents beamed with pride and gratitude, celebrating their children's accomplishments. "This moment is incredibly special for our family. We are deeply thankful to the school for fostering such a supportive and enriching environment," said Hajia Balikis Abdulrofiu, a parent of one of the graduates.

Concluding with a heartfelt dua (supplication) for the learners' future success and well-being, led by Alhaji (Imam) Hassan Salahudeen, the ceremony transitioned into a lively reception. Attendees enjoyed refreshments and connected with one another, further strengthening community bonds.

The Walimat-ul-Quran ceremony at Al-Qalam Schools not only honored the learners' achievements but also underscored the school's unwavering commitment to a balanced education that nurtures both intellectual and spiritual growth. This event was a radiant example of how Quranic education can build a solid moral foundation for future generations.
