The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to hold its long-anticipated National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
This confirmation came through an official announcement on the party’s 𝕏 handle earlier this morning.
According to the statement, the NEC meeting will take place at 12 p.m. at Legacy House, the PDP’s presidential campaign headquarters situated in Maitama, Abuja.
Key topics up for discussion include pressing matters within the party and strategic planning ahead of future political activities.

“The 99th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is holding today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the party’s presidential campaign office, Legacy House, located in the Maitama District, Abuja.
“The NEC, one of the highest decision-making organs of the PDP, comprises of Party National Chairman and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), state governors, serving and former presidents, former vice-presidents, the chairman and secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT), principal officers of the National Assembly, state chairpersons, former governors, and founding members, among others.
“The meeting aims to address critical issues affecting the party, including strategies for upcoming political engagements,” the statement read.
This development comes after an earlier postponement. On Sunday, May 25, PDP’s National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, had disclosed that the meeting was delayed to give Senator Bukola Saraki’s Reconciliation Committee time to finalize efforts aimed at resolving internal party disputes.
Anyanwu, in his earlier statement, expressed regret over the inconvenience and assured party stakeholders that a rescheduled date would be communicated. Today’s meeting signals the conclusion of that reconciliation process.
