JUST IN: PSG Shatters Arsenal’s Champions League Dreams, Moves to Final

PSG

Paris Saint-Germain booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final after a commanding 2-1 victory over Arsenal in the semi-final second leg played on Wednesday night, sealing a 3-1 aggregate win.

The French giants, playing in front of a raucous crowd at the Parc des Princes, extended their first-leg advantage through a 27th-minute strike from Fabián Ruiz.

Although Arsenal’s David Raya saved a penalty from Vitinha in the second half, Achraf Hakimi doubled PSG’s lead in the 72nd minute with a composed finish that effectively dashed the Gunners’ hopes.

Bukayo Saka managed to pull one back for Mikel Arteta’s side four minutes later, but it was not enough to overturn the deficit.

Despite Arsenal’s spirited push, PSG's resilience and the brilliance of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma proved crucial.

This result sees PSG, under the guidance of Luis Enrique, reach only their second Champions League final in history.

They now set their sights on the showpiece clash with Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena in Munich on May 31.
