Iranian authorities have maintained that 610 people have been killed, with more than 4,700 others injured since the outbreak of hostilities with Israel began on June 13, 2025.
The updated casualty figures were released on Tuesday by Iran’s Health Ministry spokesperson, Hossein Kermanpour, who said the victims include civilians, children, and medical personnel.
He described the aftermath of Israeli strikes as “harrowing,” with hospitals overwhelmed by the scale of the destruction.
“Over the past 12 days, hospitals across the country have been confronted with extremely harrowing scenes,” Kermanpour wrote on his verified X account.
The ministry further disclosed that at least 13 children, including a two-month-old baby, were among the dead.
The attacks have also claimed the lives of five healthcare workers, while several hospitals and ambulances have been damaged.
