Four Stringent Conditions To Be Met Before Tinubu Reinstates Fubara as Rivers Gov

President Bola Tinubu has reportedly sanctioned the reinstatement of suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, following high-level negotiations at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday night.

According to The Cable, the embattled governor’s return to office comes with a set of conditions aimed at restoring political stability in the state.

Chief among them is that Fubara will not be allowed to contest for a second term in 2027, effectively ending his political journey after his current tenure.

In a further concession, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is said to have been granted the authority to nominate all 23 local government chairpersons in Rivers State.

Governor Fubara also agreed to settle all outstanding benefits and entitlements of the 27 state lawmakers previously aligned with Wike.

These legislators, who were earlier suspended, will, in turn, pledge not to pursue impeachment proceedings against Fubara.

The agreement is seen as a move to quell the prolonged political crisis in the state and ensure a peaceful working relationship among stakeholders.

Further reports from Newsweekng reveal the following conditions:
