I’Ve Paid The Price, Your Marriage Will Work – Iyabo Ojo Tells Priscilla

Iyabo and Priscilla

Star Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has poured heartfelt prayers and words of admonition to her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, during her baby shower ceremony in Canada, expressing deep hopes for a successful and lasting marriage for the expectant mother.

Following the public revelation of Priscilla’s pregnancy with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, the mother-daughter duo recently travelled to Canada for the baby shower, where Iyabo made an emotional declaration.

In a video from the event, Iyabo Ojo, visibly moved, prayed passionately that Priscilla’s marriage would thrive despite her own marital challenges.

“Priscilla, your marriage will work. You will grow old with your husband because in God you have married right. If mine did not work, yours will work, for I have paid that sacrifice for yours to work,” she declared.

The actress went on to address critics who questioned the lavish nature of the wedding ceremony and the decisions she has made as a mother. She stressed the importance of breaking generational patterns, particularly when it comes to failed marriages and family struggles.

“I want to use this to encourage a lot of mothers out there. We go through a lot. When people saw the wedding, they were like, ‘Iyabo, why this and that?’ But for me to be here today, I made the decision, whether good or bad, it is my burden to carry. And I will never deprive my children of their blessings, no matter the situation,” she said.

Iyabo concluded her speech with a spiritual message on breaking ancestral patterns: “There’s something called ancestral curses; for you to break it, you must stop it.”
