Popular Nigerian streamer and TikToker, Peller has shared the real reason behind the sudden termination of his contract with his cameraman, who holds a master’s degree, less than a week after being hired.
He made the revelation during a conversation with content creator Carter Efe, shedding light on an unexpected and uncomfortable turn of events.
According to Peller, the cameraman had been paid ₦500,000 upfront shortly after getting the job. However, things took a strange turn when the man showed up at Peller’s place with his bags, expecting to move in.
“I give am 500K upfront money, him dey come, him come carry bag come our house,” Peller said.
He continued by explaining that the man claimed he had been evicted and wanted Peller to accommodate him.
Peller expressed his discomfort, noting that the place where he was staying wasn’t even his own property, making it awkward for him to host someone long-term.
“Say where him dey sleep? Say them chase am commot. Which kind talk be that? That place no be me get am. If say na my place, him fit stay…”
He added that such an unexpected demand, especially so soon after employment, raised red flags and prompted the dismissal.
People might see it as an aggressive behaviour, but it was a right choice.
