The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 93 suspected internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The anti-graft agency, in a statement posted on its official X handle and sighted by newsmen on Sunday, said the suspects were apprehended during a sting operation by operatives of its Lagos Zonal Directorate 2.
According to EFCC, the operation, carried out on August 10, followed credible intelligence linking the individuals to alleged cybercrime activities.
EFCC said 18 vehicles and several mobile devices were recovered from the suspects at the time of their arrest.
The agency added that the suspects will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
