Political analyst and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has taken a swipe at Labour Party’s presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi, over what he described as selective silence on the killing of a businessman in Anambra State.
In a post shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) and sighted by AFRIPOST, Omokri criticised Obi for remaining silent over the abduction and killing of Ifesinachi Onyekere, popularly known as Fish Magnet.
Omokri wrote: “On May 4, 2025, Peter Obi condemned the alleged abduction of a factional Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students in Abuja by Seyi Tinubu, whose abduction turned out to be a lie, and the gentleman involved later apologised to Seyi Tinubu.
“But more than a week after the abduction and murder of Ifesinachi Onyekere, popularly known as Fish Magnet, in Peter Obi's home state of Anambra, Peter Obi has not said ANYTHING.
“Do you see what is going on here?
“Peter Obi can comment IMMEDIATELY over a fake abduction that DID NOT happen, because it took place outside Igboland, in Abuja.
“However, he has refused to speak on a real abduction that occurred in Igboland, even where it led to death.
“This is in line with Obi's tribalistic character. That is Peter Obi's regular trademark. If it happens in Igboland, Obi will suddenly become deaf, dumb, and blind. But Peter Obi will dance naked in public if it occurs in the North or Southwest.
