After many years of teasing fans with wedding hints, football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has officially proposed to his long-time partner, Georgina Rodríguez 

Georgina who said a resounding “yes” shared the romantic news on Instagram on Monday, flaunting a breathtaking diamond ring that could rival the floodlights at Old Trafford.

“Yes, I do. In this and all my life,” she wrote in a heartfelt caption, sealing a love story that’s been building for almost nine years.

Fans were quick to point out that this isn’t the same ring she’s been seen wearing in recent years — this one is bigger, flashier, and screams forever.

Only last month, Ronaldo playfully explained why the wedding had yet to happen, telling Netflix cameras:

“I always tell her, ‘when we get that click.’ It could be in a year, six months, or even a month. I’m 1000 per cent sure it’ll happen.”

The couple’s love story began in Madrid in 2016, when Georgina was working as a sales assistant at Gucci. She described their first meeting as love at first sight, an instant spark that hasn’t dimmed since.

Their relationship went public the same year after being spotted together at Disneyland Paris.
