The Ibadan-based football club, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), popularly known as the Oluyole Warriors, have officially unveiled their squad for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season with the traditional team photograph at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
According to a release made available to newsmen, the club noted that “the group photograph, which brought together players, technical crew, and administrative staff, symbolises the unity and ambition of the club as it embarks on a new era under the leadership of Chairman Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami.”
“This year’s line-up proudly showcases summer signings, returning players, and homegrown talents donning the new season’s kit. Notable additions include Ismail Ayodele, Qamar Adegoke, and Ozovehe Emmanuel, while fan-favorite Ayobami Junior Abiodun makes a return to the squad. They join established names such as Ghali Falke and Utin Ikouwem. However, first-choice goalkeeper Mustapha Lawal, fondly called “Black Spider,” was absent due to his national team duties with the CHAN Eagles.
“With a carefully blended mix of experience and youthful energy, Shooting Stars are entering the campaign with renewed confidence, fueled by passion, commitment, and resilience. The club’s ongoing restructuring off the pitch is mirrored by its determination on it, as the team looks to deliver strong performances and moments of pride for their fans throughout the NPFL season.
“The unveiling marks an important step as the Oluyole Warriors set their sights on a successful 2025/26 season.” the release says in part.
