The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday formally recognised the David Mark-led National Working Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The recognition comes after weeks of internal restructuring within the opposition party, which produced a new set of national officers expected to reposition the ADC ahead of future electoral contests.
Others officially acknowledged by INEC are former Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, as National Secretary; Dr. Ibrahim Mani, National Treasurer; Akibu Dalhatu, National Financial Secretary; and former Edo State Governor, Professor Oserheimen Osunbor, as National Legal Adviser.
With the electoral umpire’s endorsement, the Mark-led leadership is expected to commence a nationwide reconciliation and mobilisation drive aimed at strengthening the party’s structure across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
