Human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has stirred reactions online after suggesting that Nigeria’s electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), would have manipulated results if it were in charge of the Big Brother Naija Season 10 voting process.
In a Facebook post on Monday morning, October 6, Adeyanju quipped: “INEC would have rigged the BBNaija election.”
The activist’s sarcastic remark came barely a day after Imisi was declared the winner of the 2025 edition of the popular reality show.
Adeyanju, known for his blunt takes on governance and accountability, questioned the credibility of prize distributions in the show.
“Do they really give BBNaija winners the prize money?” he asked. “The reason I am asking is because many of them end up looking extremely broke thereafter.”
His comments have since sparked a mix of amusement and debate across social media, with many Nigerians sharing their own theories about the post-show lives of past BBNaija housemates.
While some agreed with Adeyanju’s view that reality TV fame often fades quickly, others criticised him for comparing a reality show with a national electoral process.
