Activist and former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has called on Nigerians to actively participate in the campaign for the release of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
In a Facebook post on Monday, sighted by AFRIPOST, Sowore encouraged citizens to “carry a sign, sing a song, make a statement,” urging everyone not to remain passive in the push for Kanu’s freedom.
He wrote: “Good Morning! Wherever you may be this morning do not stop moving, carry a sign, sing a song, make a statement! #FreeNnamdiKanuNow.
AFRIPOST reports that Sowore had announced October 20 as the date for a protest march to demand the release of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
According to him, the protest would be a “historic” march to the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, while assuring that it would be conducted peacefully and legally to demand the release of the IPOB leader.
