Oyo @ 50: Makinde Appoints 11-Member Committee, Names Saheed Fijabi as Chair



Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has appointed a former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Saheed Akinade Fijabi, as the chairman of the Oyo State at 50 Anniversary Committee.


Makinde, in a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, announced the appointment of the 11-member committee, on Monday.


Other members of the committee include a former Head of Service of the state, Alhaja Ololade Agboola (Deputy Chairman); Dr Z.O. Ajuwon, OON; Mustapha Razaq Areo; Alhaja Fatimah Ololade Azeez; S.A. Adejumo; and Pastor John Olasunkanmi Alabi.


Other members of the committee are Alhaji A.K. Bello; Mrs Ronke Adedayo (Secretary); COMPOL Fatai Owoseni (rtd) and the Director General of Protocol, Mr Samuel Adegboyega Badejo.


The appointment is with immediate effect.


Naija Metro News recall that Oyo state was formed on the 3rd of February, 1976 from the old western region. The state included Ọsun State, which was split off in 1991.
