Oyo CP Haruna Decorates 365 Newly Promoted Officers, Charges Them on Integrity, Service

The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Femi Haruna, PSC (+), has decorated 365 newly promoted officers of the Nigeria Police Force during a ceremony held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Police Officers’ Mess, Eleyele, Ibadan.


The event, which attracted senior police officers, dignitaries, and members of the media, was organized to celebrate the officers’ dedication, hard work, and service to the Force.


Among those promoted were ACP Victoria Mulero (Commander, 22 SPU Base 22), ACP Oluyide Afolake (Deputy Officer in Charge of Veterinary Services), CSP Adebakin O. Joseph (Deputy Commander, SPU Base 22), CSP Adeyemi Abayomi Gbolahan (Administrative Officer, 72 PMF, Ago-Are), CSP Borisanmi Ojo (Divisional Police Officer, Ashi), CSP Idowu Kehinde (Deputy Commanding Officer, Swift Response Squad), CSP Bello Temitope (Officer-in-Charge, Safer Highway), CSP Aderanti Joseph (Divisional Police Officer, Egbeda), CSP Ayoola Mutiu (Divisional Police Officer, Kishi), DSP Akomolafe Abiodun (SCID), and ASP Fesobi Victor (Personal Assistant to the Commissioner of Police), among others.


In his address, CP Haruna congratulated the newly promoted officers and expressed his profound appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for his visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare and professional advancement of officers within the Force. He also acknowledged the mentorship and support of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 11 Osogbo, AIG Fred Ekokotu, PSC, fdc.


The Commissioner urged the newly promoted officers to recommit themselves to the core values of integrity, discipline, and selfless service, noting that higher ranks come with greater responsibilities and expectations of leadership excellence.


According to the Oyo State Police Command, the promotion exercise saw two officers elevated from Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), nine officers promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), eight officers advanced from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP), while 346 officers were confirmed as Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP).


While congratulating the officers, CP Haruna reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, as well as the sustenance of peace and security across Oyo State.
