YouTube has finally released its official 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, highlighting the music videos, digital creators, and entertainment content that captured the attention of Nigerian viewers throughout the year.
From the newly released list, gospel singer Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye and famous Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli emerged as the most outstanding figures on the platform.
The announcement was made through a statement signed by YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Addy Awofisayo.
Gaise Baba dominated the music category with his viral hit “No Turning Back II,” which features Lawrence Oyor, finishing as the most streamed Nigerian music video on the platform for the year.
The video, which was released in mid-May, quickly spread across the country and gathered more than forty-one million views within six months, earning massive engagement from fans.
