Leaders of the Muslim Communicators Forum (MCF), The Polytechnic, Ibadan have enjoined Nigerian students to prioritize their faith and ensure verification of information before they share.
The body for muslim students of the Department of Mass Communication made this admonition while addressing attendees during an orientation program hosted by the forum’s executives at 350 capacity Hall of the institution on Tuesday.
The Guest Lecturer, Sheikh Ainu Naheem Ayilara bAl Gowwy, stressed the need to verify information before sharing, citing Quranic verses.
He further encouraged attendees to check sources, verify facts and promote truth and kindness to combat misinformation.
Present at the program are Dr Olusoji Olatunji, HOD Mass Communication, Dr Najimdeen Adunola, Staff Adviser, Mr Olawale Olagoke a senior lecturer at Mass Communication department, past executives of MCF, guests and observers.
Shittu Abibat, with code number NMIP021, is a student of The Polytechnic, Ibadan and one of the beneficiaries of the ongoing 2026 Internship Programme organized as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by Naija Metro News
