Federal Poly Bauchi Debunks Viral Circular of Ramadan Restriction Among Students

Federal Poly Bauchi

The Management of Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, has dismissed as false a circular circulating on social media alleging restrictions on interactions between male and female students during the Ramadan period.

In a statement signed by the Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Public Relations, Malam Tanimu Gambo, the institution described the purported circular, allegedly issued from the Office of the Registrar, as malicious and misleading.

The Polytechnic clarified that it remains a co-educational federal tertiary institution that permits legitimate academic and social interactions among students, provided such engagements are conducted within the bounds of decency and established institutional regulations.

The statement further explained that the institution is multi-religious and multicultural, accommodating students and staff from different parts of Nigeria and beyond. It stressed that the Polytechnic does not promote or enforce any religion-based policy in its operations.

Management therefore urged parents, guardians, students, alumni and members of the public to disregard the fake circular and to verify information concerning the institution through its official communication channels.
