Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has directed all commissioners, heads of departments and agencies to ensure that all works executed under their supervision are properly documented.
Governor Makinde gave the directive while speaking about governance and other matters connected therewith during a public engagement in the state.
He said the directive is necessary to guarantee continuity in governance and to make it easier for the incoming administration to understand and build on ongoing projects and policies.
According to him, the move is aimed at addressing a gap that has existed in many previous transitions, where successive governments did not benefit from a clear and structured record of development activities.
The governor added that proper documentation will serve as a reliable reference point for tracking progress across ministries, departments, and agencies while also strengthening institutional memory within the public service.
He further stated that the initiative will provide a structured roadmap for continued development in Oyo State, ensuring that future administrations can sustain and improve on existing achievements without disruption.
