You Stole My Star - Crayon Blasts Don Jazzy, Mavin Records after Quitting Label

Don Jazzy and Crayon

Nigerian singer and songwriter Charles Chibueze Chukwu, fondly known as Crayon, has blasted his former label boss, Don Jazzy and Mavins Records.

The singer, who was signed to Mavins Records, in 2019, in a series of now-deleted tweets, made some bombshell revelations about the label.

Crayon, who called Don Jazzy his boy, accused the music executive of being responsible for his mother’s death. He claimed Don Jazzy owes him unpaid royalties and collected $200 million without giving him a penny.

He said they want to use a delayed payment to kill him. Praying for God to punish them, he promised to bring the label down.

His deleted tweets reads;

“Una collected 200 million dollars, no give me shishi!! Una wan use delay payment kill me. My eye red!!

My mama died because of una!!

Heads go roll! Don Jazzy na my boy!! Una dey mad!

“God go punish all una mama and una papa me. Tega highest criminal! Ojo dey para!! Mavin is going down!! Vaeclar, stop calling my phone, you cray!!”.

Fans who have started debate on the matter speculated that Crayon might be frustrated with his promotion at Mavin Records, particularly in comparison to labelmates Rema and Ayra Starr

Others suggested his tweets could be an emotional outburst, a reaction to industry pressure, or even the result of a hacked account.
