Nollywood actress, Uche Elendu has responded to social media users questioning how actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, welcomed a child with celebrity designer Luminee seven months after his release from prison.

Naija Metro News had earlier reported that Luminee announced the birth of her first child with Baba Ijesha on Monday sparking reactions online from some Nigerians who questioned the timeline.
Addressing the comments on Tuesday, Uche said there was a simple explanation.
She said, “Lol. There’s something called preterm birth. Yea! Let’s face what’s facing us. A basket of tomatoes is 120k, children and families are in agony and live in fear, and gas is 28k per cylinder.
“I just wish the baby were a bouncing baby girl.
“Congratulations and welcome to the world, baby. God bless your home”.
She urged Nigerians to focus on the economic challenges facing the country rather than speculating about the circumstances surrounding the birth.
Baba Ijesha became the subject of national attention in 2021 after comedienne Princess accused him of sexually assaulting her 14 year old ward.
In July 2022, a Lagos High Court sentenced the actor to five years imprisonment after finding him guilty on sexual assault related charges.
The Court of Appeal later upheld parts of the conviction while setting aside some counts. Baba Ijesha was released from prison on November 15, 2025, after serving his sentence.
