In a post on Instagram, Tokunbo shared a collage of photos showing different stages of her journey with her husband and reflected on her personal decision to maintain privacy in her relationship.
She said keeping certain parts of her life out of public view has been important for her peace of mind, adding that discretion helps her stay grounded.
“Before and After. Aanu Ni!
“Oju ri! But Anu speaks.
“This right time to fly together. Privacy is peace to me,” she wrote.
Her post followed the recent announcement by Baba Ijesha, whose real name is Olanrewaju Omiyinka, that the couple had welcomed a baby boy. The actor introduced the child as King Kagar Omiyinka and also praised Tokunbo in his message, describing her as “my ever beautiful wife, strong Jagaban.”
Tokunbo also noted that the child is her first with the actor after 12 years, while referencing her daughter in earlier remarks.
The couple’s announcement drew attention online, largely because they have kept their relationship away from the public over the years.
Tokunbo is the founder and chief executive of Anjy Luminee Couture, a Lagos based fashion house also known as House of Luminee. She was born in Ijesha Isu, Ekiti State, as the sixth daughter in a family of eight children.
She attended Hosanna Africa Primary School for her primary education and Methodist Girls High School for secondary school. She later obtained a National Diploma in Banking and Finance from The Polytechnic Ibadan and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from Lagos State University.
She launched her fashion brand in 2013 shortly after completing her final examinations at LASU and has since built a presence in the Nigerian fashion space.
