Ahead of the 2027 general election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Oyo South and member representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Remi Oseni, on Thursday unveiled the Remi Oseni Smart Learning Intervention Legacy Programme (ROSMA), a technology-driven education initiative worth over N280 million aimed at transforming learning and digital literacy across Oyo South.

The launch, held at Agbadagudu in Ibadan, marked the commencement of what Oseni described as a digital education revolution that will establish AI-powered Smart Learning Hubs in each of the nine local government areas of the senatorial district.
Speaking at the unveiling, Oseni said the initiative reflects his long-standing commitment to investing in education, innovation and youth development, stressing that the future of Oyo South depends on preparing its young population for opportunities in the global digital economy.
According to him, the ROSMA Smart Learning Hubs will provide free training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, coding, digital marketing, data analysis, digital literacy and innovation, while creating an enabling environment for students to acquire globally competitive skills.
"The future belongs to young people who are equipped with knowledge and technology. Through ROSMA, we are ensuring that every child in Oyo South has access to world-class digital learning opportunities regardless of background.
"This initiative is about building capacity, creating opportunities and preparing our children to compete confidently in a technology-driven world. We are not just investing in education; we are investing in the future of our people," Oseni said.
The federal lawmaker explained that the intervention extends beyond digital skills acquisition, announcing that beneficiaries would also enjoy free WAEC and NECO registration, JAMB sponsorship, bursaries, scholarships and entrepreneurship support.
He described education as the most sustainable investment in human capital, adding that the programme was designed to produce a generation of innovators, entrepreneurs and solution providers capable of driving economic growth.
Project Director of ROSMA, Demilade Akin-Alabi, disclosed that one Smart Learning Hub would be established in each of the nine local government areas in Oyo South.
He revealed that five centres have already been completed in Eruwa, Agbadagudu, Ido, Oke-Ado and Oja-Igbo, while work is progressing on the remaining four locations.
"ROSMA represents a new model of educational intervention. It is about taking technology, innovation and quality learning directly to communities and ensuring that no student is excluded from the digital future," he said.
Project Manager, Oluwafemi Odeyemi, explained that implementation would commence with a three-day Train-the-Trainers programme to prepare facilitators who will coordinate activities across the learning hubs.
Also speaking, Bisi Akin-Alabi said all the Smart Learning Hubs are powered by solar energy to guarantee uninterrupted learning despite electricity challenges.
She added that students would have access to computers, internet-enabled research facilities and interactive educational applications in mathematics, science and digital literacy.
One of the beneficiaries, Hikmat Shuaib, an SS2 student of St. Anne's School, Molete, Ibadan, described the initiative as a life-changing opportunity and pledged to maximise the facilities to improve her academic performance and digital competence.
About 250 students from 25 secondary schools attended the unveiling ceremony, which stakeholders described as a landmark investment in education and a major step towards positioning Oyo South as a hub for digital learning and innovation.
