Applicants seeking recruitment into four Federal Government paramilitary agencies have moved to the physical screening and credential verification stage of the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board announced the development, directing candidates who sat for the Computer-Based Test in November 2025 to confirm their shortlisting status through the recruitment portal.
The board’s Secretary, Maj Gen Abdulmalik Jibril (retd.), disclosed this in a statement, urging applicants to use their application numbers to access their recruitment profiles.
Candidates who made the shortlist are expected to provide their credentials online and select their preferred date and location for the screening exercise.
The board advised applicants to comply strictly with the instructions displayed on the recruitment platform, warning them against relying on information from unofficial sources.
It also issued a fresh warning over fraudsters seeking to exploit candidates during the recruitment process.
According to the board, applicants are not required to pay for any aspect of the exercise, including shortlisting, selection of screening venues, uploading of documents, gaining entry into screening centres or final selection.
The CDCFIB urged candidates to reject requests for money from individuals, agents or organisations claiming to have connections capable of influencing their recruitment.
It further asked the public to ignore suspicious recruitment messages and links and to be wary of people falsely claiming to act on behalf of the board.
The recruitment exercise is for vacancies in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigerian Correctional Service and Federal Fire Service.
The process began with the submission of applications online in July 2025, before candidates were subjected to the CBT several months later.
The latest announcement represents another step towards concluding the recruitment exercise, which has kept thousands of applicants awaiting the outcome of the selection process.
The board had earlier stated that it intended to complete the outstanding stages within four weeks.
It stressed that speed would not be allowed to undermine fairness, merit, federal character or the established recruitment procedures.
The CDCFIB said the exercise would also take into account the operational requirements of the four agencies before the final list of successful candidates is produced.
