The Senator Sharafadeen Alli Campaign Organisation (SSACO) has dismissed as false reports circulating on social media alleging that the APC deputy governorship candidate in Oyo State, Hon Adesoji Adedeji, insulted the people of Oke-Ogun during his visit to Saki.

The campaign organisation, in a statement by its Director of Media and Publicity, Bisi Oladele, described the report as fabricated, accusing its promoters of attempting to create tension between the APC candidates and the people of Oke-Ogun.
The organisation said it was not surprised by what it described as the activities of “drowning politicians,” alleging that some politicians had become unsettled by the large crowd that welcomed Adedeji during his youth town hall meetings in Saki, Ogbomoso, Iseyin and Oyo.
According to the statement, the campaign organisation said the growing support for the APC in Oke-Ogun and other parts of the state, particularly among youths, was responsible for what it described as the attempt to discredit Adedeji.
“The SSACO wishes to re-affirm Senator Alli and Hon Adedeji’s utmost respect and honour for the good people of Oke-Ogun. They have always held them in high esteem, treating them as treasures that they truly are,” the statement said.
It added that there was no amount of alleged falsehood that could drive a wedge between the APC, its candidates and the people of Oke-Ogun.
The campaign organisation further said the Oyo AHEAD agenda of the Alli-Adedeji ticket prioritised Oke-Ogun in areas including agriculture, infrastructure, youth development, education and health.
It also pointed to the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho, and ongoing road reconstruction projects by the Federal Government as evidence of what it described as the strategic importance of Oke-Ogun to APC leaders.
The SSACO urged residents of Oke-Ogun to disregard the alleged false reports and continue to support the APC and its programmes for the zone and the state.
The organisation also urged residents across Oyo State to support the Oyo AHEAD agenda of Alli and Adedeji, saying its implementation would help the state regain its “pace-setting status” in Nigeria.
