Yemi Alade Features Don Jazzy, Teni, Spyro, Others in Self Titled 7th Album

Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has released her seventh studio album, It’s Yemi Alade, featuring Don Jazzy, Teni, Fave, Spyro and several other African artistes.

The 16-track project titled “It’s Yemi Alade” was released on streaming platforms on Friday.
The album also has international collaborations with Congolese singer Ferre Gola, French artiste Singuila, and Kenyan singers Bien, Sofiya Nzau and Njerae.

Songs on the album include ‘Alhaja’, ‘General Market’, ‘Coco Na Yam’, ‘Little Kiss (E Good)’, ‘Yemi Mi Lova’, ‘Ala Bekee’, ‘Owa and Minister of Enjoyment.’

Others are ‘Don’t Be Shy’, ‘Titanium’, ‘Earth Song’, ‘Paradise’, ‘Away’, ‘Overtake’, ‘Worry’ and ‘Shawa Shawa (Ashawo).’

The project blends highlife, Afrobeats and Afropop, reflecting Alade’s use of English, Yoruba and French in her music.

Alade described the album as a “deeply personal milestone” in an Instagram post celebrating its release.

“My 7th studio album and 10th body of work is out now. A love letter to my day 1 fan-mily and a toast to new beginnings and a brand new movement for me,” she wrote.

Alade gained international recognition with ‘Johnny’, which became a major hit following its release in 2013. She has since released albums including King of Queens, Mama Africa, Black Magic, Woman of Steel, Empress, African Baddie and Rebel Queen.

In 2025, she received her first Grammy nomination in the Best African Music Performance category for Tomorrow.
