The donation was made on Thursday, October 8, 2026, in the presence of party leaders, executives, candidates and other stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, Fatola said strengthening the party should be a collective responsibility rather than one left to a few individuals.
“Party building is not the responsibility of one person. Every one of us has a role to play, and I believe in contributing my own quota to the advancement of our party,” he said.
He described the donation as a modest but deliberate contribution towards improving the secretariat’s operations and strengthening the party’s structure.
On the 2027 elections, Fatola said preparations and mobilisation were gathering momentum, adding that his recent campaign launch and manifesto presentation formed part of his efforts to engage voters in the constituency.
The entrepreneur, who has business interests in Nigeria and the United States, said his experience in the private sector had reinforced the importance of responsibility, organisation and building structures capable of delivering results.
Reacting, PDP Chairman in the constituency, Hon. Abdrahman Akinoso, thanked Fatola for the gesture, describing him as one of the party’s “shining lights” and among those whose commitment he could vouch for.
Akinoso said the donation showed how candidates and party members could contribute to the development of the organisation beyond campaign activities.
He also urged voters in Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency to participate actively in the electoral process, while calling on PDP members to work together ahead of the 2027 elections.
The event was attended by members of the party’s executive committee, other party leaders, candidates and members.
