Few Days After Attending Olubadan's Burial, Weeks After Soun's Death, Alao Akala Dies @ 71

Former Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, has been reported dead at the age of 71.

The News of the elder states man's death went viral on Wednesday morning.

Former Governor Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, a former police chief, hailed from Ogbomoso, Oyo State and he was once a police officer. 

The prominent politician who died at age 71 was Governor of Oyo State after the reign of Sen. Rashidi Ladoja from 2006 - 2011.

His death bring about the fact that Oyo State has just one former democratic governor alive since Nigeria Gain independence and the state was created in 1976.

Otunba Alao Akala prior to his death can be described as the political pillar of Ogbomosho land. He is one of those that may need to be reckoned with as far as politics is concerned in Ogbomosho and Oyo State entirely. 

He's fondly known to be the governor of the masses for his popular Feedback system television programme tagged "Epade Gomina" on BCOS, where he feel the impulse of the masses on issues that need to be attended to in Oyo State.
