The prominent politician who died at age 71 was Governor of Oyo State after the reign of Sen. Rashidi Ladoja from 2006 - 2011.
His death bring about the fact that Oyo State has just one former democratic governor alive since Nigeria Gain independence and the state was created in 1976.
