[Photos] Angry Youths Burn Suspected Okada Snatchers To Death in Ijokodo, Ibadan

Two suspected armed robbers have been burnt to death on the early hours of Thursday, at Ijokodo - Sango Area of Ibadan, Oyo State Capital. 

These robbers whom are suspected to be Snatchers of Motorcycles met their waterloo in an attempt to carry out another criminal activities at Ologunẹrù Area of Ibadan.

The eye witness who spoke with our reporter, Busari Usman at the scene of the incident maintained the suspected robbers are three in numbers, of which the third person who has ammunition in his possession managed to escape.

These suspected bike Snatchers were burnt by Angry mob who happens to be bike riders at WAEC Junction opposite LAPO Microfinance Bank,

One of the eye witness who pleaded anonymity reveal to our reporter

"The thieves were beaten mercilessly before the police officers arrive and they took them in their car, on their way to the station one of them lost his life and the other was still alive this made the police officers drop the both of them in front of LAPO microfinance bank along WAEC junction, before they were dropped the Okada men who was said to be the one who caught the thieves and also beat them was following the police vehicle, instantly as the police dropped the thieves they went ahead to get tire and petrol to burn both the dead one and the one who is still battling with his life, they burn them instantly.

Another anonymous source claimed "The thieves were been chased from Ologuneru area to the spot where they were been burnt, that they were three in number and the third person who escaped was the one with the gun that it's the Okada men that did the jungle justice of a thing to them, she said when they caught them, they were been beaten mercilessly and the police officers passed the scene of this event without intervening into what is happening, this prompted the Okada men to quickly burn them.

Another eye witness who was interviewed at the scene of the incident  narrated that they killed an Okada rider in his area on Tuesday and they collected his bike which he reportedly got in an installment payment. 

He added that, His body was found today but they can't really say if it's this burnt thieves that did the operation but he loves the way they are burnt that all of them are the same that a thief will continue to be a thief none of them should be tolerated in the society."

Also while I was still at the scene looking for who has a full details about what happened a set of police vehicle, who was escorting a vehicle passed and said that they should keep on burning them. They were even hailing people at the scene.

People who came to watch what's happening at the scene shared the experience they've encountered with bike Snatchers.

The gory body of the burnt suspect are still at the scene, and effort to reach the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Oyo State Police Command, Dewale Osifeso has proved abortive as at the time of filling this report.
