PolyIbadan Pulls Giant Strides, Commences Flexible Open Distance Learning Programmes

In a bid to ensure a "study with ease" learning system, Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan has announced the commencement of her newly introduced Open Distance and Flexible Learning (ODFeL) programme.

The great citadel of learning which invites interested applicants for ND and HND Programmes in the 2022/2023 academic session has reeled out opportunities for six pioneer courses which are Accountancy, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mass Communication, Public Administration and Local Government Studies.

The Rector of the institution, Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi while speaking to newsmen on Monday noted that the institution is on the journey to ensure an affordable, accessible and flexible education is made available to all and sundry in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.

Prof. Adebiyi added that the working class and physically challenged persons would have the opportunity to study from anywhere at anytime at their own pace with 24/7 access to lecturers and course contents.

Noting that the application fees for ND and HND applicants is 2,000 naira and 5,000 naira respectively, the students under this program will enjoy uninterrupted academic calendar with immediate online result view adding that graduates of The Polytechnic, Ibadan ODFeL programmes would be mobilized for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the end of their programme.

He further stressed that the programme is virtual - based although students would have to come to school for physical facilitation for a week and examination would be done by physical appearance.
