“ Be Time Conscious” - Ogun NYSC State Coordinator Enjoins Batch C2 PCMs

The Prospective Corp Members in the batch C stream 2 in Ogun state have been enjoined to be conscious of time and schedules during their stay in the National Youth Service Corps Permanent Orientation Camp, Sagamu, Ogun state.

The corp members - to - be were advised by the State Cordinator in charge of Ogun state NYSC camp, Mrs. Shopeka Winifred Ngozi in her maiden address to the PCMs on Thursday, 1st of December, 2022.

Shopeka, who doubles as the 25th State Cordinator of Ogun state Camp maintained that the camp is a special one that does all activities in a regimental way.

She added that discipline, courage, unity, integrity among others are the core values of NYSC of which PCMs are not allowed to make tinted or dangling hairs.

“Ogun state camp is special in many ways. We raise excellent children. We don’t tint our hair, we don’t do dreadlocks, we don’t allow dangling hair. Dangling hairs are weapon against you. We are not doing beauty competitions here. Be ready for the battle ahead.”

She further laid emphasis on the importance of respecting oneself and every camp officials adding that there is no room for insult to anyone.

“We respect ourselves here, we are here for you to train you, to be effective in training we need to respect ourselves. Be on ground before 05:20. 

“I need us to do what is right. No room for insult for any officers. We are here for a purpose. Greet yourself with a smile. 

“We don’t play with salutations, we have our slogan which is to enjoy responsibly. Maintain decorum. We raised youths that are focused.

“On no account will i make anyone go to bed miserably. Don’t take what does not belong to you. I’m the sweetest when you do what is right. We have time for everything.” She warned.

A social exciting side of the welcome guesture is the celebration of PCMs whose birthday celebration falls between 30th of November and 1st of December by all camp officials.

PCMs and members of the officials sang to cheer up a celebrant who is celebrating her birthday today, Thursday, 1st of December, 2022.

She further stressed that all youth corp members whose birthday fall between the period of the camp orientation will be celebrated by all camp officials and fellow PCMs.
